Bill No. 1.662/2019, which establishes measures to prevent childhood obesity, is currently being discussed in the Rio de Janeiro City Council. In this technical paper, we highlight the importance of passing this bill, which represents a step forward in curbing childhood obesity in the city of Rio de Janeiro.
